The FSC says no one was interviewed, but....

In their response to the famed New York Times article---
Shirley Sherrod's Federation of Southern Cooperatives states
We are also concerned that the reporter never interviewed those who have been involved in  addressing the discrimination Black farmers have experienced since the 1960's.
However, we know they interviewed John Boyd, president of the National Black Farmers Association-- the man who was beside Barack Obama for the signing of Pigford 2. So what's up with that?

Later on, they throw Thomas Burrell under the bus

Burrell and his organization were not active in the Pigford claims process, and class counsel in BFDL has not worked with him or his organization on claims nor accepted any claims he or his organization might have prepared. In fact, class counsel had reported his activities to the U.S. District Court in an effort to prevent him from spreading false information about the claims process, and in opinions rendered on January 3, 2005 and September 6, 2005, District Court Judge  Paul L. Friedman charged that Burrell had “given false hope to thousands  of African American farmers.”
Does the FSC feel the same way about Dr. Boyd that they do about Mr. Burrell?
